On 6th February 2026, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Chamber of Non-Ferrous Metals and Recycling (IGMNiR) at the Palace of the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble in Koszęcin. The event brought together members of the Chamber, representatives of the non-ferrous metals and recycling industries, as well as representatives of academia, public administration and institutions cooperating with the sector.
The anniversary provided an opportunity to summarize three decades of the Chamber’s activities, recall the most important stages of its development and reflect on the future of the industry in the context of dynamic technological, environmental and economic changes.
During the official part, Kazimierz Poznański, President of the Chamber, together with Bogusław Ochab, Chairman of the Chamber Council, presented the history of the establishment of IGMNiR and highlighted key initiatives undertaken by the Chamber over the past thirty years. They emphasized the importance of cooperation within the industry, which has contributed to the development of the non-ferrous metals and recycling sector in Poland.
An important moment of the ceremony was the presentation of the 30th Anniversary Medals of the Chamber of Non-Ferrous Metals and Recycling and diplomas to members of the Chamber as a token of recognition for their contribution to the development and activities of IGMNiR.
Following the official part, guests were invited to a jubilee gala dinner, which provided an opportunity for networking, discussions and integration of the industry community. The evening was enriched by artistic performances of the “Śląsk” Song and Dance Ensemble, which gave the celebration a unique and festive atmosphere.
